The ‚Prinzeßhof’ is the oldest secular building in Itzehoe. The core of the building originates from the 16th century. In November 1988 the museum was reopened with a newly designed permanent exhibition on the district of Steinburg.
Focal points of the presentation are the history and the cultural history of the Steinburg district in the 19th and 20th century. Annually changing special exhibitions on cultural history are shown. These are accompanied by an extensive additional programme. In addition, there are concerts, lectures and readings in the lecture room. |
