Four grindings belong to the functional technique of the Erdholländermühle from 1868. Besides the mill there is a reconstructed baking house.
On the windmill is a rotating cap, which is turned by hand into the wind. The sail gates turn three grindings and a peeling. The grinding stages consist of two scrapings and a "Franzosen". The peeling was extensively repaired in 2011, so that since then wind-peeled barley can be produced from barley. For this purpose, a continuous wind of magnitude 6 from northwest of the miller is preferred.
For children and adolescents, guided tours are offered (for example, "From grain to bread")
Monthly, the art of bread baking can be visited in a reconstructed bakery with a stone oven.
From April to October can be married in the Mahlaal every year.
The small café "Mühle und Me(e)hr" is opened on fine days.
