Description
Willy Brandt. A political life in the 20th century.

The Willy Brandt House Lübeck is the place for contemporary history in the birthplace of the first Social Democratic German Chancellor and later Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Whether as a young Social Democrat, Nazi opponent and political refugee, or later as a politician and statesman, Willy Brandt's lifelong commitment to democracy is still inspiring today. Like hardly anyone else, he changed the Federal Republic of Germany and stood up for peace and freedom in Europe and the world. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to this political life and offers a fascinating walk through the history of the 20th century. The multimedia and interactive permanent exhibition on Willy Brandt's political life and work invites visitors to critically examine history and the present.
