Description
Museum for the history of work and everyday life in the north

The Elmshorn Industrial Museum shows the development of industry, technology, work and everyday life in Schleswig-Holstein in a vivid and interactive way. The museum in the historic warehouse building is located in the centre of Elmshorn, close to the railway station. Here in the museum of the city of Elmshorn, industrial and everyday history can be actively experienced.
Watch the Elmshorn TV image film about the industrial museum here!
Experience history up close.
Time clock, treadle sewing machine, corn mill, school desks with slates, railway station scales - there are lots of objects to try out!
Tip for children: borrow a free ‘detective case’ from the information desk and go on an exciting journey of discovery with the museum mouse Bertha.
