Kandare aus Metall. Bestandteil des Zaumzeugs für Pferde. Es handelt sich um ein nicht gebrochenes Gebissstück mit Hebelwirkung. Die Kandare besteht aus einer durch das Pferdemaul geführten Stange, an der seitlich und außerhalb des Pferdemauls liegend Querschenkel, die sogenannten "Bäume", angebracht sind. An einer Seite sind jeweils Ringe angebracht, an der anderen Seite Haken. Teil der Ausrüstung der Freiwilligen Reitenden Bürgergarde Kiel [?].
