zum Herstellen von Lochstreifen für automatisch laufende Schnellsetzmaschinen / Linotypes: Auf dem 'Taster' (auch Perforator genannt) werden in einen Papierstreifen Lochkombinationen eingestanzt. Der Lochstreifen wird dann in der Gießmaschine automatisch abgetastet, und die den Lochkombinationen entsprechenden Matrizen und Spatienkeile werden ausgelöst. Diese Arbeitsweise heißt 'TTS-Satz' (engl. TeleTypeSetting) und bringt eine Beschleunigung des Zeilengusses. Der gelochte Papierstreifen kann wiederholt abgetastet werden, erspart also Stehsatz.- Die Einheit ist nicht funktionsfähig.
