Die Mönchsgrasmücke ist Brutvogel und Durchzügler auf Föhr mit ansteigender Bestandszahl (2008). Sie st die häufigste Grasmückenart auf der Insel. Grasmücken haben sich erst nach 1900 als Brutvögel auf Föhr etabliert.
