Bei der Arbeit zum gleichnamigen Roman der Schriftstellerin Christa Wolf handelt es sich um ein Dreiphasenbild unter der Verwendung von Schwarzlicht und einer elektronisch gesteuerten Licht-Zeitanlage. Die Lichtverhätlnisse verändern sich langsam von Tageslicht zu Schwarzlicht bis zur völligen Dunkelheit. Die abstrakten Bildelemente wurden mit fluoriszierenden und phosphoriszierenden Farben aufgetragen.
